Senator Scott Confident Trump’s Nominees Will Prevail Despite Democrat Opposition

Democrats seem hell-bent on opposing President Trump’s nominees with all the ferocity of a cat chasing a laser pointer. Every selection appears to be fighting not just for approval but for its very existence. It’s almost impressive in a bizarre sort of way—the left seems convinced the best way to showcase their power is by trying to trip up every nominee the president puts forward. Good luck with that, folks.

Senator Rick Scott of Florida isn’t sweating it one bit. He’s predicting that President Trump’s team will eventually get confirmed, because let’s face it, the only thing the left can count on is their ability to rally against anything with Trump’s name attached. Scott highlighted Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination for director of national security as something the Democrats are trying extra hard to block. Despite the ongoing circus, he assured everyone that they are now just a vote away from confirming her—a reminder that the circus can only perform for so long before the main act takes the stage.

Scott didn’t hold back when addressing the hurdles faced by Trump’s nominees compared to President Obama’s early days. Under Obama, Democrats were busy giving each other back pats and high-fives while Trump’s team finds itself wading through a swamp full of red tape and procedural nightmares. Scott’s message was clear: no matter how many hoops the Democrats want to set on fire, Trump’s squad will come out on top.

Meanwhile, Democrat Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania threw a wrench in the process by firmly stating his opposition to Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. It seems he’s tried to position himself as some sort of arbiter of what’s “in the best interest” of America, completely ignoring that many voters want to see new voices like Gabbard and Kennedy in leadership roles. Ironically, just days earlier, he found himself in hot water from his fellow Democrats for voting in favor of Pam Bondi, which promptly left some on the left scratching their heads about Fetterman’s loyalty.

Such a dichotomy highlights the left’s troubles. Fetterman gets blasted by his base for supporting Bondi but conveniently forgets that he’s still a part of the party fighting tooth and nail against experienced nominees like Gabbard. With the Democrats at war with each other, one can only wonder whether this internal strife will keep them sidelined while Republicans keep moving forward—even if it means overcoming a few tantrums along the way.
