SHAMEFUL: Judges Face Complaint for Racist & Sexist Policies, Undermine Judicial Integrity

Three federal judges in the Southern District of Illinois are under fire for implementing policies that prioritize granting oral arguments based on the attorney’s race and sex. Chief Judge Nancy J. Rosenstengel, Judge Staci M. Yandle, and Judge David W. Dugan are now facing a judicial conduct complaint filed by America First Legal (AFL).

According to the complaint, the policies established by the judges in 2020 intentionally discriminate, exhibit judicial bias, and undermine the public’s confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary. The AFL argues that these policies violate the equal protection guarantee of the Fifth Amendment and are calling for corrective action.

It is outrageous that these judges have implemented policies that prioritize attorneys based on their race and sex. The judiciary should be a place where the rule of law reigns supreme, not a place where individuals are treated differently based on immutable characteristics. Our justice system should be blind to these factors and focus solely on the merits of the case.

These policies not only discriminate against certain attorneys but also undermine the faith and confidence that Americans have in our judiciary. People should be able to trust that their cases will receive a fair shot before a court, without being subjected to discriminatory treatment based on their race or sex. Such preferential treatment based on immutable characteristics has no place in our legal system.

It is concerning that two of the judges facing the complaint, Rosenstengel and Yandle, were appointed by former President Obama. Their appointments appear to be part of a larger pattern where liberal activists are trying to inject identity politics into our judiciary. Thankfully, Judge Dugan, appointed by President Trump, has a track record of being associated with conservative organizations like the Federalist Society and the Alliance Defending Freedom. His appointment brings a much-needed conservative perspective to the court.

The policies implemented by these judges not only violate the principles of equal protection under the law, but they also undermine the credibility of our legal system. Discrimination based on race and sex has no place in our courts, and it is imperative that these policies be rescinded immediately. The public’s faith and confidence in the judiciary must be restored, and the judges responsible for implementing these biased policies must be held accountable for their actions. It’s time to put an end to the liberal agenda of identity politics and restore true impartiality to our courts.
