The narrative crafted by some who want to see our officers in a perpetual state of trial depends heavily on the absence of concrete evidence. In this case, the evidence shows Walker wielding a knife, charging at officers after a taser was ineffective. The reality is clear and leaves little room for reinterpretation. Without this video, this situation would have likely sprouted into a wild tale by the media about an unarmed woman, and perhaps the next poster child for protests. But, as the footage shows, the story told itself, letting reason prevail over rhetoric.
