In an unsurprising yet shocking move, a liberal judge from California has found fault with the Trump administration’s decision to deploy the National Guard in Los Angeles. According to the judge, this deployment violated some antiquated legislation called the Posse Comitatus Act. Is it really surprising that California, the heartland of leftist ideology, is pushing back against efforts to restore sanity and order?
Governor Gavin Newsom, a man who seems more interested in appeasing the radical left than protecting his citizens, found an ally in this decision. A rioting mob was causing chaos, but, evidently, the California liberals believe asking the National Guard to step in is an overreach. It’s astounding how protecting American lives becomes a point of contention for those on the far left.

The ruling implies that President Trump’s actions to use the National Guard set a dangerous precedent. What is actually dangerous is the refusal to uphold law and order, showing no concern for the destruction witnessed in cities like Los Angeles. The rhetoric of creating a “national police force” is fear-mongering at its finest and reveals a disdain for proactive governance.
This case is far from over, as the 9th Circuit will likely be the next battlefield. One can only hope for a modicum of sanity to prevail. The overreaction and continuing bitterness from these liberal strongholds mark a new low. They’d rather see American cities crumble than admit Trump took necessary action.
Perhaps the question should be asked: When liberal policies constantly fail their citizens, why do they cling so tightly to these ineffectual ideals? Just a thought for those evaluating which leaders and ideologies truly have America’s best interests at heart.
