Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger just can’t help herself. Standing tall for the Democrats, she went after President Trump’s trade policies during her response to his State of the Union. Apparently, she thinks the real problem for American families isn’t inflation, open borders, or leftist spending, but Trump’s so-called “reckless” protection for American workers. Give me a break.
This is classic liberal spin. Spanberger is more worried about cheap goods from China than about American jobs or secure paychecks here at home. She’d rather score political points than admit the truth: President Trump’s trade policies gave Americans a shot, forced foreign countries to play fair, and stood up for the little guy. That’s something the Democrat elites just can’t seem to stomach—the idea that putting America first actually works.

Let’s get real. Before Trump, bad deals and “free trade” with globalists gutted our factories and sent manufacturing overseas. Families suffered while smug politicians in D.C. cheered on their global friends. Trump had the guts to say enough was enough. Spanberger and her crowd want to go back to the old days when China called the shots and working people at home paid the price. Some “solution”!
It’s almost laughable how quickly Democrats flip the script. One day, they’re crying about jobs lost to Beijing. Next, they bash the only president who actually stood up to China’s bullying. The hypocrisy is endless. Maybe the real “reckless” move is trusting politicians like Spanberger, who act like American strength is a bad thing.
With liberals like her in charge, it’s no wonder families are struggling. She’d rather bash Trump than fix the mess her own party created. When Dems talk about what’s too costly for Americans, maybe they should look in the mirror. Isn’t it time we had leaders who fight for us, not for global approval?
