Squad’s Tlaib Smirks at Terror, Escapes Censure Thanks to 22 GOP Traitors

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the Michigan Democrat known for her outlandish and offensive comments, has once again managed to escape any repercussions for her disgraceful behavior. Tlaib, a member of the infamous “squad,” has a long history of spewing antisemitism and promoting terrorist propaganda. Just recently, in the aftermath of the horrific October 7 terror attacks committed by Hamas, she had the audacity to smirk when asked about the beheading and burning of Israeli babies. This woman has no shame.

But despite the calls for her to be censured, a motion to publicly reprimand Tlaib was tabled last week, thanks to the support of 22 spineless House Republicans who joined forces with the Democrats. It’s truly disheartening to see members of our own party siding with the likes of Tlaib and betraying conservative values. These Republicans, including Reps. Chip Roy and Thomas Massie, should be ashamed of themselves.

The fact that Tlaib’s resolution was blocked doesn’t mean she is innocent. It simply means that there are individuals in Congress who lack the courage to hold her accountable for her despicable actions. And to add insult to injury, the Democrats conveniently pulled a reciprocal effort to censure Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a strong conservative voice, in a clear display of partisan politics.

Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of this whole ordeal is the lack of unity within the Republican Party. It is disheartening to see representatives, like Chip Roy, express concerns about the language in Greene’s motion regarding insurrection. We all know that Tlaib’s conduct is unbecoming of a member of Congress and should be condemned, if not censured. But Roy is more interested in playing word games and avoiding the term “insurrection” than in holding Tlaib accountable for her anti-Israel and pro-terrorist rhetoric.

It is clear that Tlaib’s actions have no consequences in today’s political landscape. She can continue to spread her vile hatred without any fear of repercussions. This is a sad day for conservatives who believe in accountability and conservative values. Let’s hope that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene follows through with her plan to refile a motion to censure Tlaib, and that the 22 Republicans who betrayed us will have a change of heart and do what is right for our country.
