Tuesday night, President Trump delivered his 2026 State of the Union address to a packed House chamber. But the front row looked oddly empty, thanks to five Supreme Court justices who couldn’t be bothered to show up. Only four justices had the respect to attend while their colleagues sat it out, just days after the Court slapped down Trump’s America-first tariff agenda in a staggering 6-3 ruling.
Let’s call this absence what it is—a political statement. The judiciary is supposed to act above the partisan fray, but these justices couldn’t even muster the decency to honor the Commander-in-Chief and the American people. Instead, we’re seeing another display of activist judges who care more about protecting globalist interests than standing up for the American worker and the Constitution they pledged to defend.

The Supreme Court’s recent opinion against President Trump’s bold tariffs is just the latest blow in an anti-American crusade from our so-called “independent” court. Trump’s tariff plan was designed to put American jobs first, to finally push back against decades of surrender to foreign competition and one-sided trade deals. The left, backed by their buddies around the globe, can’t stand the thought of America refusing to be bullied by China, Europe, or any other foreign power.
Now, after gutting a policy that actually helped working families, these justices can’t even face the President whose agenda they keep undermining. They’d rather hide in chambers than look the American people in the eye and explain why they chose global profits over American livelihoods.
Liberals love to talk about “norms” and “respect for institutions,” but when it comes to a president who actually fights for the forgotten men and women in this country, they’re happy to stay home. Maybe next time these justices can skip the pretense and just send a note from the World Economic Forum. Who needs respect for the people’s house when you’re already serving the global elite?
At this rate, should we even bother pretending these leftist justices care what happens outside their ivory towers? Or have they taken off their robes for good to join the resistance in plain view?
