In a blow to the Biden administration’s open-border agenda, the Supreme Court has given the green light to Texas to crack down on illegal immigration. With the conservative majority ruling in favor of Texas, the state can now enforce a law that gives local law enforcement the power to detain migrants, much to the dismay of liberals like Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

Democrats are up in arms over SB4, claiming it lacks protections for American citizens and could lead to the deportation of both citizens and non-citizens without proper recourse. However, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton argues that the state has every right to defend itself from the influx of crime and drugs across the border.
While the future of SB4 still hangs in the balance, with the potential for further challenges in lower courts, this ruling sets a precedent for other states to take a stand on immigration enforcement. It’s about time states like Texas start taking the safety and security of their residents into their own hands, rather than relying on a floundering federal government.
With the Biden administration’s lax border policies under fire, it’s refreshing to see Texas leading the charge in protecting its borders and citizens. Let’s hope more states follow suit and push back against the chaotic and dangerous status quo promoted by the left.
