In a shocking twist of events, U.S. District Court Judge Ana Reyes, a Biden appointee, made a spectacle of the Department of Justice lawyers for their refusal to comply with subpoenas issued by the U.S. House of Representatives. This comes on the heels of Peter Navarro, a former Trump trade adviser, being thrown in the clink for the same violation. Unbelievable!

Navarro, a true patriot, is currently serving a four-month sentence for daring to defy a subpoena from the January 6 Committee. His bold stance was rooted in the sacred principle of the Constitution’s separation of powers, as he argued that it would constitute a violation for a presidential aide to comply with such a demand. And yet, the Biden Department of Justice is shamelessly employing the same argument to shield two of its lawyers, Mark Daly and Jack Morgan, from subpoenas by the House Judiciary Committee. The sheer audacity!
Judge Reyes, clearly fed up with the unbridled hypocrisy, called out the Justice Department attorneys for their brazen double standards. With a fiery passion, she condemned their flagrant disregard for the law and the House subpoenas, particularly given their zealous pursuit of criminal lawsuits and imprisonment of individuals like Navarro for similar infractions. It’s a classic case of “do as I say, not as I do,” and Judge Reyes was not having any of it.
Furthermore, the judge expressed skepticism towards the House subpoenas themselves but still maintained that the lawyers should appear before the House committee, if only to assert their privileges against answering questions. She essentially ordered both sides to hash out a resolution and warned them about the exorbitant costs of continued litigation. The gall of these elites to play games with the legal system is truly astounding!
In a nutshell, Judge Reyes’ scathing rebuke of the Department of Justice and her no-nonsense approach to this legal circus is a beacon of truth and justice in these tumultuous times. It’s about time someone held these swamp-dwellers accountable for their shameless power plays and legal shenanigans. Kudos to Judge Reyes for standing up to the establishment elites who think they are above the law. This is a victory for the rule of law and a reminder that no one, not even the highest echelons of power, is immune to the consequences of their actions.
