In a continuation of her attacks on President Joe Biden, Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) criticized him once again over his response to the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Tlaib, who had previously shared false information about an explosion at a hospital in Gaza, took to social media to implore Biden to call on Israel to withdraw its evacuation order for a medical facility where she claimed 400 people were stuck. She criticized Biden for remaining silent and demanded that he put pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to halt the evacuation order. Tlaib’s post on X, formerly known as Twitter, included an emotional plea for Biden to take action.

It’s important to point out the partisan bias and misinformation in Tlaib’s statement. Israel has been consistently warning civilians in Gaza to evacuate for over a week as it prepares for a ground campaign against Hamas terrorists. Tlaib’s inflammatory language, referring to the situation as a “massacre of civilians,” is not based on any factual evidence and only serves to perpetuate a one-sided view of the conflict.
It’s also worth noting that President Biden has reaffirmed his support for Israel during this crisis. In a recent address from the White House, he urged Congress to pass a $100 billion supplemental funding request to support Israel and Ukraine in their respective conflicts. Biden even made a personal visit to Israel earlier in the week to show solidarity with the country. Tlaib’s criticism of Biden’s response is misguided and fails to recognize his efforts to support Israel.
