An assassination attempt on Donald Trump has painted a grim picture of the political climate in America, revealing just how far some will go to silence his voice. Thomas Matthew Crooks, not exactly a household name in the land of the free, decided it was a good idea to shoot Trump through the ear in July. This incident, however, isn’t merely a reflection of one misguided individual; it’s a glaring symptom of systemic failures, particularly in the Secret Service. One can’t help but wonder if they were busy planning their next virtue signal rather than protecting a serious target for radical leftists.
But the Secret Service isn’t the sole culprit here. The incessant drumbeat from the Democrat party and their media cohorts has transformed Trump into some sort of comic book villain, the guy they love to hate. When the narrative depicts the former president as a tyrant, it can breed a toxic mix of contempt and radicalism among the less stable members of the populace. It raises the question: is it any wonder that someone decided to take a shot at the GOP frontrunner?

This former republic was built on constitutional rights (something Democrats seem to forget when it’s convenient for their agenda). Yet here comes Kamala Harris with her shining charm, twisting the truth to paint Trump as the mastermind behind a so-called violent insurrection on January 6. Demonizing him for alleged incitement is a favorite pastime of the left, despite the Independent reports noting that Trump called for peace that day, while radical leftists were busy fanning the flames of discontent.
The media’s role isn’t just passive; it’s actively incendiary. Publications like The Nation have dismissed Trump’s claims about Haitian migrants, mocking his anecdote while ignoring that police reports contain some truth to those assertions. Their fixation on painting Trump as a “threat to democracy” is nothing short of laughable. One has to wonder if they even know what “journalism” means anymore, or if they’re simply a propaganda machine for the left’s latest talking points.
Even mainstream outlets aren’t immune to this absurdity. Bill Gindlesperger from USA Today predicts doom and gloom if Trump ever gets a second chance in the Oval Office, proclaiming it could destroy the very fabric of American democracy. This kind of rhetoric raises eyebrows rather than lifts spirits, especially when combined with articles emphasizing the “scariest threat” being Trump’s potential ability to issue pardons. Apparently, it’s completely lost on the left that they have fully weaponized the law against their political opponents for years now.
At the end of the day, it’s indisputable—backwards, hostile rhetoric breeds dangerous consequences. The radical left thrives on a narrative of hate against MAGA supporters, and while they remain busy foaming at the mouth, incidents like Crooks’ assassination attempt become alarmingly predictable. Until the left pulls back the curtain on their incendiary narratives, the cycle of violence and extremism will continue to escalate, and those who enjoy living in a free society may need to buckle up for the ride.
