For too long, that outdated law forced all goods shipped between U.S. ports to travel only on vessels built, owned, and crewed by Americans. Noble idea in theory, but downright foolish in a modern crisis.
Now, with a smart, gutsy 60-day waiver, Trump is turbocharging the flow of oil onto our shores. The left loves to cry about “fairness” and “regulation,” but when American families are facing soaring gas prices, what’s fair about forcing them to pay more just to prop up paperwork? Liberals would rather play footsie with green energy special interests and global cronies than do the practical thing to keep the lights on and food on the table. Trump just showed how real America-first solutions look: bold, immediate, and unapologetically pro-worker.
