In an era where common sense often feels like an endangered species, President Trump has taken a stand on crime that some people didn’t see coming. It seems blindingly obvious that Americans want safety in their cities. Yet, leave it to the Democrats to politicize something so basic and essential. Liberals are losing it over Trump taking control of the D.C. police and sending in the National Guard. But guess what? The capital was spiraling out of control without it.
The removal of illegal squatters and the scattering of drug dealers is a win for those who believe in law and order. Yet, the sight of federal officers doing their jobs seems to send the left into a frenzy. Imagine booing those dedicated to keeping neighborhoods safe! It’s the peak of lunacy, which leaves one wondering just how out of touch the left must be. As they boo public safety, they reinforce their image as the party that routinely gets it wrong on every issue of consequence.

Latest analyses reveal that Americans prefer Trump’s approach to crime-fighting. Some might say he’s the Michael Jordan of tackling crime—transforming statistics into success stories. Meanwhile, his predecessor, Biden, hit rock bottom with his policies. Ouija boards aren’t needed to predict that folks want leaders who put public safety first. Complaints from liberal Democrats only further illustrate their weakness on this issue.
Let’s not pretend that crime and public safety are theoretical problems. Regular citizens fear being victims of horrible crimes while elite liberals flog their tired excuses. Funny how the left deflects from serious issues with irrelevant diversions. It’s as though they think voters can’t see through their smoke and mirrors. But here’s the kicker: people care about not being victims of violence more than hearing the proxy wars liberals want to fight.
So, as the left shouts “but January 6th,” the rest of us wonder, is there anyone home in their ivory towers? When it comes to choosing safety and sanity, Trump scores, while Democrats fumble yet again. How long before the Democrats realize that their stance on crime is as bankrupt as their other policies?
