Former President Donald Trump is being forced to make a difficult decision as a federal judge has ordered him to choose between attending a trial or attending the funeral of his wife’s mother. Trump expressed his frustration with the judge, claiming that he suffers from a case of “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He accused the judge of being abusive, rude, and biased, which he believes is the reason he wanted to attend every day of the trial. The former president referred to Judge Lewis A. Kaplan as a “nasty man” and a “Trump-hating guy.”

The funeral for his wife’s mother, Amalija Knavs, is scheduled for Thursday, and Trump has decided to attend the funeral rather than the trial. In the trial, Trump has already been ordered to pay $5 million in damages for sexual abuse and defamation, but the accuser, E. Jean Carroll, is seeking an additional $10 million in compensatory damages and “millions more in punitive damages.” Despite the lawsuit, Trump has strongly denied the allegations made by Carroll. The trial began on Wednesday with witness testimony.
