Trump Ditches RNC Debate, DeSantis Steals Spotlight & Challenges All

Former and potentially future President Donald Trump was a no-show at the second RNC debate, and boy, did that ruffle some feathers! Candidates like Chris Christie and Ron DeSantis were practically foaming at the mouth, ready to pounce on Trump’s decision to skip the event. And let me tell you, DeSantis didn’t hold back.

He blasted Biden for his “missing in action” leadership and, surprise, surprise, called out Trump too. DeSantis insisted that Trump should have been on that stage defending his record, especially when it came to the disastrous $7.8 trillion increase in national debt that set off the inflation explosion we’re seeing today. And you know what? DeSantis is absolutely right!

But the fun didn’t stop there. After the debate, DeSantis wasted no time cozying up to Fox News’ Sean Hannity. They had a little chat, and DeSantis doubled down on his belief that Trump should debate. In fact, he even offered to go mano-a-mano with the former president himself, with Hannity playing moderator. Talk about a bold move!

DeSantis argued that Trump owed it to the voters to make his case and prove why he deserves their support. And you know what? I couldn’t agree more. No one should feel entitled to the presidency, not even with fancy polls and statistics. It’s about showing up, making your case, and letting the voters decide. Bravo, DeSantis!

And speaking of polls, DeSantis’s campaign manager, James Uthmeier, made a great point during a Fox News appearance. He reminded everyone that polls don’t elect presidents, no matter how much we love to obsess over them. Just ask Ben Carson and John Kasich, two candidates who were polling well but didn’t make it to the Oval Office. It’s the voters who have the final say, and they want to talk about the REAL issues, not just who’s popular in September.

Now, DeSantis has his sights set on a debate with Governor Gavin Newsom. Yep, you heard that right. He’s ready to take on another opponent, this time on November 30, with Hannity carrying the flag of truth as moderator. I gotta say, I’m looking forward to seeing DeSantis in action, showcasing his record of actually getting things done. That’s what we need in a leader, folks!

So while Trump may have missed out on the RNC debate, DeSantis is here to tell it like it is and give the voters what they deserve: a fierce and articulate defender of conservative values who’s not afraid to take on anyone, even the former president. Game on, folks!
