Donald Trump has done it again—proving he’s the only leader gutsy enough to say what the rest of the world is too cowardly to even think. While the so-called “elites” in Europe clutch their pearls and hope America keeps doing all the dirty work, Trump is putting them on notice. He understands that the free ride is over. When it comes to handling Iran, why should American families pay the price, while decadent European countries sit back, catch the benefits, and offer nothing but empty words?
For far too long, Europe has enjoyed U.S. protection in the world’s most dangerous hotspots. They count on the American military to guard the Strait of Hormuz, a vital shipping lane for their oil and gas, while their own leaders twiddle their thumbs. Meanwhile, their media cries crocodile tears about “U.S. aggression” and globalist bureaucrats in Brussels wring their hands over “escalation.” The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

America has sacrificed blood and treasure to keep these global chokepoints safe. Liberals talk a big game about “international cooperation,” but when it comes time to send ships and troops, suddenly they vanish. Trump’s approach is pure common sense: if Europe relies on the Strait of Hormuz, maybe they should be the ones keeping it secure, instead of treating Uncle Sam like their personal bodyguard. No more freeloaders.
Of course, the left and their globalist allies are furious. They hate the idea of upsetting their comfortable status quo. They’d rather keep Americans stuck in endless conflicts, while Europe leans on our military might and pretends to be morally superior. Trump’s strategy exposes their empty rhetoric and forces them to act like real allies—or face the consequences.
This is what real leadership looks like. Trump isn’t afraid to use blunt tactics to protect American interests and call out the arrogance of those who take U.S. power for granted. Maybe next time our supposed “friends” in Europe should worry less about virtue signaling and more about pulling their own weight. Isn’t it time America started looking out for itself first—for a change?
