Mark Cuban recently stepped into the media circus by suggesting that Donald Trump doesn’t surround himself with “strong, intelligent women.” Putting aside the fact that Cuban’s own credentials are a little murky—he’s hardly the paragon of wisdom—the former President didn’t let this jab slide. In a typically fiery post on Truth Social, Trump shot back, making it clear that he surrounds himself with women of unparalleled strength and intelligence.
According to Trump, Cuban’s comments are just another display of the latter’s fragility. In a delightful twist, Trump described Cuban as “a really dumb guy” who thinks he’s impressive but lacks any real substance. While the former President pointed to the women in his life—seemingly including those running nations—Cuban’s critique appears to stem from a personal, insecure place. After all, Cuban has made himself a fixture of petty criticism, but Trump famously made a habit of ignoring those distractions during his presidency.
Disgusting and misogynistic Mark Cuban just offended millions of women by saying that Trump is always surrounded by weak women. He's getting back a taste of his own medicine with millions of women attacking his comments. He's probably going to be the most hated man in America. pic.twitter.com/62QlodSYoH

The kerfuffle was wrapped in Trump’s classic bravado. He emphasized that all women, whether strong or not, hold value, and Cuban’s remarks were simply unbecoming of a man who he boldly claims is a “MAJOR LOSER.” There’s something enjoyable about calling out the so-called “smart crowd” from the high horse of unapologetic confidence. In Trump’s view, Cuban should take notes from the women running the world instead of whining about what others may or may not be doing.
In true Trump fashion, he went on to point out the inanity of Cuban’s critiques while name-dropping the powerful women he knows. One has to wonder if Cuban has ever met a strong woman or if he’s just too busy being starry-eyed over his own reflection to notice. In any case, should Cuban choose to return to the commentating game, he might want to reconsider his approach, lest he wind up sounding even more ridiculous than usual.
Meanwhile, JD Vance didn’t mince words in addressing Cuban’s comments, echoing the widespread confusion as to why some public figures seem intent on denigrating their fellow Americans. Whether they’re taking jabs at Trump or feigning concern for the rest of us, it seems that some in media just can’t help but look down their noses at the ordinary American. It raises an important question: If they spent just half as much time lifting people up instead of tearing them down, think of how much more productive we could all be.
