Donald Trump’s recent visit to Arlington Cemetery aimed to commemorate the 13 servicemen lost in the infamous Abbey Gate bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan, but apparently, just like clockwork, it drew the ire of the liberal media. It’s a downright spectacle, resembling a Rorschach test where one side sees a PR disaster and the other views Trump as the only leader actually respecting America’s heroes. While Trump was laying a wreath at Arlington, Biden and Harris were, quite conveniently, nowhere to be found—essentially AWOL, yet again.
The backstory involves Gold Star families reaching out to Trump directly. They didn’t bother with sending invites to the Biden administration because, naturally, they didn’t expect a response. In stark contrast to Biden’s cold shoulder, Trump arrived with cameras rolling to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice under the disastrous exit orchestrated by Biden and his team. To make matters worse for Biden and Harris, their childish jabs about Trump’s visit simply fuel the narrative that they don’t care about the sacrifices made by American servicemen and women.
After Kamala Harris attempted to politicize Trump’s gesture, she took the opportunity to resurrect the “suckers and losers” narrative, clearly having no original material to work with. In her ongoing quest to wrap herself in the cloak of solemnity, she clumsily declared Arlington a “sacred place” while dismissing Trump’s actions as a crude stunt. But her argument fell flat, considering the avalanche of evidence showing that she didn’t respond to family invitations. Meanwhile, the Gold Star families’ perspectives shed a light on Harris’ glaring absence, suggesting that she missed a golden opportunity to connect with those who served—an omission proving more telling than any of her speeches.
Several Gold Star families swiftly struck back, issuing firm statements against Harris’ attempts to spin the narrative. They expressed dissatisfaction with the silence from the Biden administration, highlighting how they welcomed Trump with open arms instead. The irony is staggering: Trump, the supposed villain in the eyes of the left, was the only one honoring the sacrifice of those lost, while Biden and Harris were too busy maintaining their nonexistent decorum to show up.

Amidst this political theater, not even the mainstream media can ignore the rising dissent directed towards Harris. The families of the fallen soldiers are now vocally countering liberal narratives spun by their so-called “fact-checkers.” It seems that NPR’s attempt to peddle their version of the story blew up in their faces, as they neglected to consult any family members before reporting on the visit. What a beautiful mess they’ve made of their own narrative.
The chaos surrounding Harris’ ill-timed remarks only underscores her dwindling political capital in an already beleaguered campaign. With dismal polling numbers and increasing scrutiny over her every move, attacking Trump’s commendable support of Gold Star families was an unforced error that likely made matters worse. One thing is clear: the liberal media can squawk all they want, but the actions of Trump and the voices of Gold Star families tell a much different story—one of honor, respect, and genuine remembrance that Biden and Harris have so far failed to grasp.
