Donald Trump isn’t shy about making waves, and now he’s eyed Cuba. That’s right—he’s hinting at a “friendly takeover” of the island. For decades, the United States has watched this Communist regime sit just 90 miles from Florida. Liberals love talking about “engagement” and “dialogue.” But their soft approach hasn’t changed a thing. The Cuban people are still hungry and desperate, while their elites live like kings.
Take a look at history. Back in the 1960s, the U.S. actually had some backbone. We didn’t just sit around making speeches. Instead, exiles—real freedom fighters—were armed and sent to flip the communist script. The Bay of Pigs might not have worked out, thanks in part to weak-willed, indecisive leadership. What’s shocking is that the Left hasn’t learned anything since. Whenever Cuba cries for freedom, Democratic leadership just shrugs.

Liberal politicians claim they stand for human rights. But every time Cuba tightens its grip and jails peaceful protesters, where are these so-called champions of freedom? Hiding behind empty promises and globalist nonsense about “respecting sovereignty.” Meanwhile, real people suffer. These progressives will rant about American “imperialism” but turn a blind eye to suffering at the hands of socialists.
Trump knows bold action is needed. He’s not talking about shady backroom deals or foreign handouts. He means American strength, American pride, and actually backing our ideals. The world used to know that the Stars and Stripes meant hope. Now, with career politicians running things, that’s become a joke—unless someone like Trump takes charge.
Why should freedom-loving Americans tolerate a communist dictatorship next door? Are we going to let liberals keep hiding behind their excuses while families in Cuba keep suffering? Maybe it’s time for real leadership to give Cuba the help and hope it’s been missing for too long.
