Tuesday is a big day for Republicans as they make their way toward the 2024 convention. It’s the second contest for them, and let’s just say, things are heating up. New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary might just be the last time we see more than one candidate in the running. But who is everyone talking about? You guessed it – former President Donald Trump! After his huge win in the Iowa caucuses last week, he’s ready to knock out the competition in New Hampshire and make it a two-person race.

Former Ambassador Nikki Haley is the only one left challenging Trump, but let’s be real, it’s an uphill battle for her. Most of her former opponents have already thrown their support behind Trump, including North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. It’s like a Trump parade out there! But hey, Haley does have the endorsement of New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, so she’s not completely alone in this fight.
The polls in New Hampshire closed at different times throughout the day, and you can bet Republicans were eagerly waiting for the results. In New Hampshire, voters who aren’t registered with either party can choose which primary they want to vote in – talk about democracy in action! And let’s not forget that New Hampshire’s secretary of state was optimistic that both parties’ results would be finalized by the end of the night.
Now, let’s talk about the Dems. President Joe Biden isn’t even on the primary ballot in New Hampshire, and the whole thing isn’t even recognized by the national party! It’s like they’re saying, “Sorry, New Hampshire, you’re not cool enough for us.” But hey, write-in votes are allowed, so who knows what could happen there. And don’t worry, Republicans, the next primary is just around the corner in South Carolina, and then it’s full steam ahead to the 2024 Republican National Convention in July!
