The left’s dangerous obsession with “decolonizing” everything has finally hit a wall—this time, it’s not just Western history or statues on the chopping block. Now they want to give away actual land, and not just any land, but a prime military outpost in the middle of the Indian Ocean. The British government was charging full speed ahead to abandon its own people and strategic interests in the name of feel-good “woke” policies. That is, until President Trump raised the alarm—and showed the world what real leadership looks like.
Let’s be clear: Britain’s Indian Ocean Territory isn’t just a bunch of rocks and sand. It’s a vital lifeline for Western security. This base helps the US and UK keep an eye on dangerous regimes, terrorists, and pirates. If Britain folds to the radical left and gives up this base, it hands a victory to globalist bureaucrats and bad actors alike. It’s exactly the type of self-inflicted wound liberals specialize in, weakening the West under the false banner of virtue.

Suddenly, politicians in London remembered that national defense does actually matter. Maybe they realized that opening the door for China or Islamist groups to waltz into a strategic choke point isn’t such a brilliant idea after all.

At some point, the West needs to stop apologizing for defending itself. When, exactly, did protecting your own people and interests become something to be ashamed of? If we keep letting progressive crazies run the show, maybe our leaders will “decolonize” us right into irrelevance. Or worse—the enemy’s waiting arms.
