For too long, liberal leaders have thumbed their noses at immigration laws, inviting chaos and jeopardizing the safety of their citizens. They argue that their sanctuary policies make cities safer, but that’s nothing more than smoke and mirrors. It’s time to call out the lawlessness and lay bare the truth.
New York City has been obstructing federal immigration enforcement for decades, a trend that started back in 1989. Now, the city protects illegal immigrants at all costs, putting law-abiding citizens at risk. Mayor Eric Adams and his administration claim that their duty is to keep everyone safe, but how safe can New Yorkers feel when their city harbors those who have already violated our laws by entering the country illegally?
The liberal argument that sanctuary policies encourage cooperation with law enforcement is shaky at best. Some studies suggest that crime reporting improves, but real-world evidence says otherwise. In areas where authorities work with ICE, immigrants report crimes even more frequently. So, who’s really being protected here? Not the law-abiding citizens, that’s for sure.
