In a twist of fate that could have been predicted by anyone who has been paying attention to the political scene, it was former President Donald Trump who stole the show on Super Tuesday. With overwhelming victories in the Republican primary, it seems like Trump is ready to solidify his position as the front-runner – or should I say the only runner – in the GOP presidential race. It’s like watching a race where one horse has a rocket strapped to its back while the others are still trying to find their saddles!
But let’s not forget about President Joe Biden, who also had a decent showing in the Democratic primary states. Although he mostly swept up victories with intimidating numbers ranging from 80 to 90 percent, there was a hiccup in American Samoa where a relative unknown, Jason Palmer, managed to hand Biden his first primary defeat since the days of disco music. Ouch indeed! Looks like Biden might need to do some extra stretching before the next leg of this political marathon.
