America is the land of opportunity, not participation trophies. But try telling that to the left. This week, news broke that Donald Trump, never one to miss a joke at the Democrats’ expense, decided to “honor” Hillary Clinton with her very own federal holiday: Almost President’s Day. You really can’t make this stuff up. It’s proof that the absurdity of liberal politics has finally come full circle. Hillary, who couldn’t win a rigged primary without help from the DNC, now gets a fake holiday just for almost getting her hands on the White House.
The left has always loved rewriting history. Now, instead of accepting their crushing 2016 defeat and moving on, Democrat elites want us to mourn the president who never was. Hillary made a career out of dodging scandals, bending rules, and playing the victim. And now, we’re supposed to celebrate her not for achievements, but for nearly making it. Is this really the example we want for our kids? Try, fail, whine, and demand a consolation prize?

Let’s talk about the irony here. The same liberals who mocked Trump for years now expect everyone to bow to their queen for simply participating. They preach about empowering women, yet their biggest champion is someone who failed spectacularly on the world’s biggest stage—and blamed Russia, sexism, and anything but herself. This is what passes for leadership on the left: never owning up to your mistakes, always playing the blame game, and inventing new ways to pat yourself on the back.
What’s next? Are we going to rename the Lincoln Bedroom after Stacey Abrams for “almost” winning in Georgia? Maybe Barack Obama needs a special day for “almost” fixing America’s borders. The left is obsessed with feelings over facts, and this so-called holiday is just the latest circus act. It’s a participation ribbon for grown-ups who can’t accept reality.
Trump gets it. America needs winners, not whiners. Almost President’s Day is the perfect reminder of what happens when Democrats put identity and emotion before competence and character. The question now is: will the left ever step out of their own echo chamber and face the truth, or are they too busy planning Al Gore’s “Almost Electoral College Day” celebration?
