Trump Wins: Biden Loses in 2024 Poll!

A new poll from McLaughlin & Associates has revealed that if the 2024 presidential election were held today, Donald Trump would defeat Joe Biden in a rematch. The survey found that Trump leads Biden by four points, 48-44, with 8 percent undecided. Trump also leads with independents by six points, 43-37, and trounces Vice President Kamala Harris by five points. Additionally, 57 percent of Republican primary voters say they want Trump to run again in 2024, and 76 percent say they would support him for the nomination.

These results come as no surprise to conservative Republicans, who have long held the belief that Donald Trump is the best candidate to represent the GOP in the 2024 election. Trump’s popularity among Republicans has been unwavering since he left office in January 2021, and his approval ratings have consistently remained higher than those of Joe Biden.

The poll also shows that Trump is the frontrunner in the Republican primary, typically leading the field by double-digits. However, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is widely seen as a formidable threat to Trump from the right, and a feud between the two has grown more contentious in recent days. DeSantis visited the Republican stronghold of Staten Island, New York last week and is releasing a memoir, strong hints that he is prepared to throw his hat in the ring.

Despite the poll results, Democrats have embraced Joe Biden as the best candidate to defend the White House in 2024. However, some are warning that the former president shouldn’t be underestimated. Democrat Julian Castro said of a recent Washington Post poll, “It’s the general consensus that Dems are content with Biden in a Trump rematch. But this poll undermines Biden’s central argument for re-nomination. Two years is forever and it’s just one poll, but if he’s faring this poorly after a string of wins, that should be worrisome.”

The results of this poll demonstrate what conservative Republicans have known all along: Donald Trump is the best candidate to represent the party in 2024. Despite Joe Biden’s attempts to paint himself as a viable option for re-election, it’s clear that Trump is still the favorite among Republican voters. Furthermore, Trump’s strong lead among independents shows that he has broad appeal across party lines, making him an even more attractive option for Republicans in 2024. With Ron DeSantis entering the fray, it will be interesting to see how the race for the Republican nomination shapes up over the next two years. Regardless of who ends up on top, it’s clear that Donald Trump remains the frontrunner in the 2024 presidential election.
