Trump’s Bold Digs at Harry and Meghan Have Fans Cheering

In the latest episode of Trump telling it like it is, our former Commander-in-Chief has aimed his unerring wit at the infamous duo across the pond: Harry and Meghan, the so-called Duke and Duchess of Sussex. It’s no surprise that the applause was thunderous from those who appreciate straightforward truth over politically correct pandering. Trump, meeting with U.K. officials, didn’t hold back in pointing out how much the Brits love their royals—most of them, that is. One might wonder if the ex-royal couple even crosses his mind while he’s making these sharp digs. Clearly, they’re not on his list of “great people.”

Harry and Meghan skip across the ocean, thinking they’d bask in the Hollywood glow. Turns out, they’re like fish out of water—or maybe grifters in over their heads? Their Netflix numbers tell a tale of a public that prefers to look elsewhere. Meghan’s attempt at transforming into a lifestyle guru hardly registered. Streaming figures show her popularity trailing behind kids’ shows and ancient TV drama seasons. A ratings flop so horrendous it’s almost a tragic comedy. Maybe it’s time the mainstream media stops pretending there’s an American love affair with the Sussexes?

Even with drug confessions that Harry’s managed to throw in his book, “Spare,” which should necessitate visa questions, Trump was dismissive of any calls to boot him out. Why? Because, in his view, Harry’s got enough to deal with. Like his Hollywood misadventure of a marriage. Ouch. It’s no wonder the duo’s Spotify deal ended in a spectacular crash. After all, if even Bill Simmons calls them “grifters,” it can’t be good.

But here’s the kicker—the U.K. might be “lucky” with its royal family ties on this side of the Atlantic, but what does it say when an executive isn’t reprimanded for labeling them frauds? It’s just pointing out what everyone sees but few dare say out loud.

So, the question remains for all those gushing over “pity me” tales that don’t resonate with our American spirit. Shouldn’t society just move on from Harry and Meghan’s overhyped, underwhelming influence? Maybe it’s time they tried some royal distancing from the spotlight. Now that would be a plot twist worthy of applause.
