President Trump is stepping up to the plate yet again, this time bringing his negotiating prowess to the forefront as he meets with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Florida. This meeting isn’t just a casual get-together at Mar-a-Lago; it’s a critical discussion aimed at finalizing important details of a peace deal related to the ongoing war in Ukraine. While some circles may deride this as mere posturing or even a folly, it takes serious guts to engage diplomatically when so many around him simply prefer finger-pointing and harsh rhetoric.
What’s particularly appalling is the sheer amount of taxpayer dollars the U.S. has poured into Ukraine—an eye-watering $187 billion since 2022. Wouldn’t that money be better spent addressing the needs of American citizens? Where’s the accountability for all this spending? When will voters wake up to the fact that money spent abroad shouldn’t come at the expense of American prosperity and safety?

Zelensky seems eager to finalize a 20-point peace plan, and Trump is the man for the job. Instead of the incompetence we’ve seen from the Biden administration, which has muddled through this crisis with little clear direction, Trump knows how to close deals. That’s what he does. He understands negotiations, and with his team—including savvy figures like Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff—he’s ready to bring the parties together. Unlike the previous administration, which seemed more concerned with appeasing globalist narratives than actual results, Trump’s approach could lead to real solutions.
Zelensky made waves in media circles praising the American “team” backing him, but let’s not forget who’s really in the driver’s seat here. The more the globalist elites try to dictate policies from afar, the more they alienate the very people they claim to represent. Nothing says “I care about your struggles” like draining the American taxpayer for distant conflicts while neglecting our own backyard.
