In a world where crime seems to escalate unchecked, President Donald Trump once again proves he’s unafraid to tackle the hard issues with bold solutions. He’s set his sights on reopening Alcatraz to house society’s worst offenders. This is a no-nonsense idea. Why not use one of the most impenetrable prisons in history to lock away those who’ve shown zero regard for law and order?
But let’s dig deeper into an even bolder suggestion posed by a former FBI agent. San Clemente Island, floating a good 80 miles off the California coast, could become a new fortress of justice. This island is already used by the military, making it a perfectly secure location far from the coasts teeming with innocent American citizens. Some might call it a harsh approach, but it’s about time we have a jail that criminals truly fear.

Liberal critics, of course, will shed crocodile tears over the “inhumanity” of such a location. They love to coddle criminals while turning a blind eye to victims. But let’s face it: these offenders, if housed on San Clemente Island, would be far removed from getting another chance to terrorize our streets. They’re not going to change. They don’t deserve second chances. A remote island prison keeps these vile individuals where they belong, out of sight and out of mind.
Imagine the message it sends to those flirting with a life of crime. Alcatraz was a symbol of no return, a place you didn’t want to end up. San Clemente Island could surpass that reputation, making escape impossible and survival risky. Exiling the worst criminals to such an island says America won’t tolerate violence and villainy anymore. Only hard justice.
Why waste taxpayer dollars on rehabilitating those who can’t be rehabilitated? Let’s put our resources where they’ll do the most good—keeping criminals gone for good. So, are you ready to let these monsters run free, or do you stand firm for justice? The choice is clear.
