In the midst of the excitement surrounding former President Donald Trump’s lead in the GOP primary race, the question of his running mate has been overshadowed. However, in a recent phone call to Glenn Beck’s Blaze TV show, Trump dropped a hint that caught the attention of avid supporters and political analysts alike.
Trump on Vivek for VP — I think He’s Great ?
Trump said he’d be watching the debate for a VP & if he would pick Vivek Ramaswamy.
“Well, I think he’s great… look anybody that says I’m the best president in a generation…> I have to like a guy like that, you know, I can’t get… pic.twitter.com/0RvD2mSkCM

Trump expressed his admiration for businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who has boldly proclaimed Trump as the best president in a generation. And let’s be honest, anyone who recognizes Trump’s greatness is already off to a good start in the conservative playbook.

More than 7 in 10 potential primary voters who tuned into the Aug. 23 GOP debate broadcast said Ramaswamy performed “very” or “somewhat” well — higher than the 65% who said the same of DeSantis or the 64% who said the same of Nikki Haley. https://t.co/y8DbvBmek3 pic.twitter.com/DoEZ8h7m1O

With his young age and seemingly limitless talent, Ramaswamy could bring a refreshing energy to the table. Trump recognized his intelligence, repeatedly emphasizing just how smart the man is (very, very, very smart). Now, it’s not easy to impress a man like Trump, but clearly, Ramaswamy has distinguished himself.
While some might argue that Ramaswamy’s polling numbers don’t match up to his potential running mate status, let’s not forget that polls are as reliable as a squirrel on roller skates. In a Morning Consult poll, Ramaswamy earned 10% of the likely Republican primary voters’ support, securing a strong third place behind Governor Ron DeSantis and, of course, Trump himself. It’s early days, folks, and Ramaswamy has plenty of room to climb.
The real testament to Ramaswamy’s debate performance came from the voters themselves. A staggering 72% of primary voters who watched the debate believed he did either “very” or “somewhat” well. That’s seven points ahead of DeSantis and eight points above Nikki Haley, the former United Nations Ambassador who is constantly toeing the establishment line.
Now, let’s not forget to give credit where credit is due. Both Trump supporters and GOP primary voters in general agreed on the excellence of Ramaswamy’s performance. But it’s worth noting that Trump supporters appreciated him even more than the rest. Perhaps they recognized the kindred spirit between an accomplished businessman like Ramaswamy and the very man who shook the swamp to its core.
As the race unfolds and the GOP primary voters dig deeper into their options, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Vivek Ramaswamy is a rising star worth keeping an eye on. With Trump’s endorsement and his impressive showing in the debate, Ramaswamy has proven that he has what it takes to stand toe-to-toe with the best. It’s time for conservatives to rally behind this young talent and secure a formidable ticket that will undoubtedly shake up the political establishment.
