Trump’s Impact: Supreme Court Approval Surpasses 50 Percent

The U.S. Supreme Court has surprisingly crossed the 50% approval mark for the first time in years, and it’s clear that the influence of President Donald Trump has played a major role in this turnaround. Thanks to Trump’s strategic appointments, the court now boasts a conservative majority that has been shaking things up, much to the delight of many conservatives across the nation.

According to a recent poll from Marquette Law School, which surveyed over 1,000 adults between January 27 and February 5, 2025, the court’s approval stands at 51% against a 49% disapproval rating. This marks a significant shift after languishing below the 50% threshold since May 2022, when it plummeted from 54% approval to a distressing low of 44%. The court has suffered a few dips during this time, even sinking into the 30s, which raises eyebrows about what exactly is sparking this recent approval revival.

While it would seem intuitive that the American public warms up to the court based on the decisions being made, the poll results tell a slightly different story. Quite humorously, a majority of those surveyed appeared to be against some of the court’s significant rulings, including a striking 61% opposing the court’s stance on presidential immunity and 62% disapproving of the decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. One can only imagine the puzzled expressions on the faces of pollsters trying to decipher how approval can rise despite widespread dissent on major issues.

Yet, not all decisions have landed with such turbulence. The court’s recent move to uphold legislation demanding the sale of TikTok due to its ties to China has seen an impressive 62% approval rating. This, amidst fears and concerns over data privacy and national security, reflects a growing appetite among Americans for judicial action that protects their interests. While inappropriate TikTok dances continue to dominate screens, it seems that conservatives are applauding when the court takes a firm stand against untrustworthy foreign entities.

Even with this uptick, the current approval rating hasn’t hit the highs seen in 2020, when the court enjoyed a celebrity-like 66% approval. So, what’s the takeaway? While the court’s approval may be on the rise, it appears to require a strong dose of common sense and decisions that align with conservative values to truly win over the hearts and minds of Americans. In the meantime, Trump supporters can continue to bask in the knowledge that this Supreme Court has tilted things toward a more favorable future, one decision at a time.
