The Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua has emerged as a particularly dangerous organization, operating as a transnational criminal enterprise with activities spanning drug trafficking, human trafficking, extortion, and contract killings. Originating in Venezuela’s Tocorón Prison, the gang has expanded its influence across Latin America and into the United States. Its adaptability and alliances with other criminal organizations, such as Mexican cartels, make it a formidable global menace.
