In a stunning yet not-so-surprising outcome, voters in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District have reaffirmed their commitment to conservative values by rejecting the radical agenda of Democrat Aftyn Behn. Despite an aggressive challenge, the district rallied behind Republican candidate Matt Van Epps, a true champion of the people, thanks in no small part to a timely warning from President Trump. When Trump sounded the alarm, voters listened, recognizing the threat Behn represented to their way of life.
Behn tried to disguise herself as a moderate, but make no mistake about it, her views were a clear assault on the core beliefs of this deeply conservative region. She practically bristles with disdain for America’s traditional values, admitting discomfort with prayer and the influence of Christianity in public life. Her apparent eagerness to strip away gun rights and open our borders could not be more out of touch with the desires of hard-working Tennesseans. Behn’s progressive policies are a recipe for chaos and a blatant rejection of the American way.

In sharp contrast, Van Epps embodies the commitment to God, family, and country that this district holds dear. With President Trump’s ringing endorsement, Van Epps stood as a bulwark against leftist overreach. The liberal mob thinks they can waltz into conservative heartlands and sell their agenda, but the people aren’t buying it. Liberals talk a big game but always fall short when facing the common sense of everyday Americans. They thought they had this one in the bag with glitzy media campaigns, but it was Trump’s call to arms that galvanized the district.
The failure of Behn’s campaign should serve as a wake-up call to Democrats, thinking they can slip their radical agenda past the American people. There’s no room for anti-police rhetoric, open borders, or the erasure of women’s spaces in sports in a society that values law, order, and fair competition. Behn’s loss is a triumph of common sense over leftist insanity, and a direct message to Democrats: keep your hands off our values.
In this decisive moment, Tennessee’s 7th district has shown that it will not be intimidated by leftist scare tactics or distracted by the noise of radical progressivism.
