Tucker Carlson Rips Lid off Ukraine’s Horrifying Anti-Christian Agenda

In a shocking display of religious repression, the Ukrainian government has been targeting the ancient Ukrainian Orthodox Church, according to Canadian attorney Robert Amsterdam. Amsterdam, who specializes in international law, joined Tucker Carlson on his show to bring attention to this distressing situation.

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, the government has taken extreme measures to suppress anything associated with Russia, including shutting down TV stations, disbanding political parties, and even banning art, music, and literature that is pro-Russia or of Russian origin. This crackdown has also extended to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which has been an integral part of the region’s identity for over 1,000 years. The government claims that the church has ties to the Russian government, leading to the closure of places of worship and the imprisonment of priests.

Tucker Carlson highlighted the parallels between this situation and other instances of U.S. interventions where Christianity has been under attack. He pointed out the elimination of the ancient Christian population in Iraq and the funding of the killing of Christians in Syria by the U.S. government. Carlson expressed his surprise that hardly anyone in the United States has spoken out against the Ukrainian government’s actions.

Amsterdam explained that the Ukrainian government created a new church called the OCU five years ago, which was supposed to replace the spiritual home of Ukrainians and be independent of any connection to Russia. However, the OCU has engaged in aggressive tactics, such as stealing property, harassing, intimidating, and imprisoning clerics, and forcing conscription on believers. Amsterdam argued that there is little substance to the government’s claim that the church has ties to the Russian FSB. He believes that the real reason behind the government’s actions is political, as they want to win the populist vote by destroying this ancient Christian denomination.

Carlson raised the issue of U.S. taxpayers effectively funding the Ukrainian government and its armed forces. He questioned whether Americans should be concerned about a Christian denomination being banned by a government that they support. Prior to the war, over half of Ukraine’s population identified as members of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

This disturbing situation in Ukraine raises concerns about religious freedom and the treatment of Christians around the world. It is crucial for the international community, including the United States, to stand up against religious repression and support the rights of all individuals to practice their faith without fear of persecution.
