Well, according to a recent rant by another well-off individual, it’s apparently because they believe their children don’t deserve the wealth they’ve amassed through no apparent effort of their own. Now, let’s pause for a moment. What’s the point of working hard and developing a legacy if not to benefit your own family? Somehow, this noble concept has become a trend of the past. It’s amazing how the values of providing for one’s family have been tossed out the window as quickly as yesterday’s fashion.
The latest advocate for this peculiar idea mentioned setting up a charitable trust while offering his child a job with the charity if he so chooses. This sounds more like an attempt to play hide-and-seek with common sense.
