President Trump, often vilified by the mainstream media and the political left, has proven once again that he gets things done. With Nicolás Maduro, the brutal socialist dictator, now captured, this is a defining moment in the Venezuelan fight for freedom. While liberals were busy wringing their hands and criticizing Trump’s decisive action, he was busy liberating a nation from the jaws of tyranny.

Let’s talk about the hypocrisy of the left. Democrats have long been silent while Venezuela suffered under Maduro’s oppressive regime. Yet, when it became politically convenient, they suddenly stood alongside Machado. These politicians who have consistently opposed Trump’s efforts to end suffering in Venezuela now act as if they’re champions for the Venezuelan people. This blatant two-faced approach is exactly why Americans are fed up with Washington’s empty rhetoric.
And where is the media storm crying foul when Democrats, under Joe Biden’s leadership, saw fit to release Maduro’s cohorts? They seem more interested in undermining Trump’s accomplishments than in supporting the Venezuelans’ quest for democracy and freedom. Don’t be fooled by their crocodile tears. These are political games played at the expense of human rights.
Trump’s interaction with Machado and leaders such as Marco Rubio shows there is already a vision for Venezuela’s transition. While liberals continue to play politics, real leaders are planning for a brighter future. The question isn’t whether Trump deserves the Nobel; it’s why it took so long for someone to recognize his actions that genuinely merit such an honor.
