Fox News’ White House correspondent Peter Doocy has once again managed to ruffle the feathers of the White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre. While Jean-Pierre usually maintains a veneer of civility when faced with Doocy’s questions, she finally seemed to give up trying to provide a real answer when he pressed her on President Joe Biden’s apparent seances with long dead world leaders.
It’s no secret that the Biden administration doesn’t handle questions about the president’s cognitive impairment well, but Biden’s recent gaffe in Nevada was an undeniable sign that Sleepy Joe belongs in a rocking chair at a retirement home. During his attempt to brag about his accomplishments, Biden mistakenly described a meeting with world leaders in 2021 that included Francois Mitterrand, the former French president who died in 1996. Not only that, but Biden initially referred to Mitterrand as the German president instead of the French president.
Doocy grills KJP after Biden said he recently met with a dead former president of France:

Naturally, this raises questions among reporters and everyday voters. So, when Jean-Pierre faced reporters on Tuesday, she should have been prepared with a response to Biden’s egregious mistake. But it seems that even the president’s cronies are falling short these days.
In a video shared by Citizen Free Press, Doocy asked Jean-Pierre how Biden plans to convince the majority of his voters who are concerned about his physical and mental health that he is okay when he told a story in Las Vegas about talking to a French president who died in 1996. Instead of attempting to defend the indefensible, Jean-Pierre appeared exhausted as she responded, “I’m not even going to go down that rabbit hole with you, sir,” before trying to move on.
Doocy wasn’t going to let her off the hook that easily and asked, “What is the rabbit hole?” Jean-Pierre could only reply, “You saw the president in Vegas, in California. You’ve seen the president in South Carolina. You saw him in Michigan. I’ll just leave it there.” While it’s true that we’ve seen Biden embarrass himself in every one of those states, it’s unclear what Jean-Pierre’s point was.
It’s becoming increasingly difficult for the Biden administration to spin their way out of questions about Biden’s senility. Jean-Pierre’s exhaustion in addressing these concerns is understandable, but it doesn’t change the fact that Biden’s public appearances only confirm the suspicions of the public. When Biden claimed to have spoken with President Mitterrand in 2021, despite his death in 1996, and initially referred to him as the German president, it’s clear that his mental acuity is questionable.
Jean-Pierre may think her response to Doocy reassures voters about Biden’s mental state, but it only serves to highlight the Democrats’ inability to defend him. As Doocy continues to push for answers to difficult questions, it becomes clear that the Democratic Party is struggling to cover up Biden’s incompetence. The more they try to protect him, the more we should demand transparency and accountability.
