Nine weeks remain until a presidential election that promises to be the most scrutinized in recent times, yet Joe Biden appears to be as absent as a good pair of socks in a laundry mat. With campaign forces ramping up and both major candidates ready to clash, one can’t help but wonder: who is in charge in Washington while the sitting president seems to be on an endless beach vacation? The irony is palpable—we’re supposed to believe that Biden is still the captain of this ship, but one glance at his tan lines suggests otherwise.
The question of Biden’s whereabouts raises eyebrows. As he lounges in his beach chair, he could be dubbed a PROADie—President Retired On Active Duty. It’s almost comforting to think he’s not actively making disastrous decisions, but that brings up another troubling thought: if Biden is off in his own world, just who is running the show? Could it be that bureaucratic backroom deals are shaping policy rather than the elected officials?
Biden just left his week-long vacation in Santa Ynez, California for Dover, Delaware, where he’ll head to Rehoboth Beach for a 9 day vacation.
Since stating he dropped out of the race, 34 days ago, he’s spent just 6 days at the White House.

For years now, many have speculated about who really holds the reins of power in this administration. Jill Biden, with her ever-present smile, seems to be by his side—but it’s hard to tell who is really leading the charge. It’s reminiscent of Edith Wilson, who allegedly ran the country from behind the scenes during Woodrow Wilson’s incapacitation. It appears that the First Lady might just be keeping her husband company while the real decisions are being made elsewhere.
Meanwhile, the Vice President, busy with her campaign trail antics, is no help. Instead of stepping into a leadership role, she’s more focused on stage-managed photo ops and puffed-up speeches. Kamala Harris may be running around with her “emotional support” companions, but real governance? That’s a different plate she seems too uninterested to juggle. If Harris were in charge, one can only imagine how quickly things would fall into disarray.
Ultimately, this raises a significant concern: the actual governance of the country is likely being handled not by elected officials, but by a shadowy entity made up of unelected bureaucrats. These nameless Swamp dwellers do not answer to the American people and were not even vetted through traditional channels. Rather, they are merely mid-level functionaries who handle the day-to-day operations of the executive branch—decisions that impact the lives of every American, yet made far from the public eye.
One has to wonder if a nearly vacant Oval Office is a better scenario than keeping Biden at the helm, mumbling incoherently while sunbathing. The American people deserve a president who leads with purpose and clarity, not one who disappears when the going gets tough. Who knows, maybe an empty chair is a more prudent alternative than a President who is in deep slumber while the country grapples with serious issues.
