As President Biden prepares to attend a Juneteenth celebration at a historic church in Texas, one can’t help but wonder if it’s just another hollow gesture. The president’s presence at Galveston’s African Methodist Episcopal church might seem like a unifying move on paper, but beneath the surface, it’s more of the same pandering to liberal narratives. The event could be seen as another attempt by the left to distract from their failures and keep dividing Americans with identity politics.
Biden’s administration is characterized by its weakness on critical issues. Instead of addressing inflation, rising crime rates, or the border crisis, we see the president jetting off for photo ops and feel-good moments. It’s as if his priorities lie in gaining applause from a select audience rather than dealing with the problems plaguing everyday Americans. This Juneteenth event is yet another example of his misguided focus.
We have to ask where the push for Juneteenth really comes from. Of course, every piece of history has its place, but the big-government advocates love to drive wedges between us. They fuel division rather than fix soaring grocery prices or the mess they’ve made of our energy independence. The administration’s backing of extravagant cultural celebrations might seem inclusive, but it distracts from the failures of their policies.

Let’s not ignore the hypocrisy here. During Biden’s time in office, we’ve seen an increase in racial tensions, something he promises to resolve but rarely does. His promises ring hollow when his policies do little to uplift any community. These events don’t foster unity; they deepen divides while giving politicians an easy out.
Americans should wake up and ask why our leaders choose appearances over real action. We need policies that protect our borders, strengthen our economy, and bring us together as one nation. Is it too much to demand a president who prioritizes solving real issues over chasing headlines?
