Rep. Mike Turner has reiterated what many conservatives see as common sense: the United States needs to strike hard and fast against global extremists like the Islamic State, even if that means taking action on Christmas Day. He’s right. The Trump administration’s decision to target these terrorists in Nigeria should be celebrated. These are the same extremists who dream of destroying everything America stands for. Isn’t it about time we stopped pandering to those who don’t dare to face these threats head-on?
While many are applauding the attacks, what are the Democrats doing? Questioning tactics, as always. They prefer endless debate over decisive action. Their hesitation is yet another example of their tendency to coddle enemies while neglecting the safety of the American people. Do they remember 9/11? These terrorists don’t take a holiday, so why should our military operations?

The Democrats claim to care about oppression and violence in third-world countries, yet when America steps in to combat real terror, they whine about tactics. They seem to forget that their beloved globalist solutions have failed, time and again, to bring peace. We need strong leadership, not wishy-washy placation, and that’s precisely what we get when policies are guided by conservative principles.
America’s security is paramount and must never take a backseat to political games. It’s easy for the left to criticize from the sidelines without offering any real solutions. But here’s the truth: diplomacy is important, but force is necessary when dealing with extremists who don’t respect diplomacy. When will the Democrats learn that terrorists need more than strongly worded letters?
In the end, who do you trust to keep America safe—the critics or those willing to make the hard calls? Rep. Turner defends the right to protect American interests, and we should all be grateful. If our leaders aren’t willing to take out the trash when evil rears its head, then what good are they?
