Mitt Romney, there is a chance, just a chance mind you, that Romney could potentially endorse President Joe Biden before the 2024 presidential election. Can you believe it? Well, McKay Coppins, the mastermind behind the newly released memoir “Romney: A Reckoning,” made this jaw-dropping suggestion while discussing the Utah senator. Coppins insists that there is “no way” Romney would endorse former President Donald Trump in the next presidential race. Well, well, well, isn’t that a spicy prediction considering Trump is currently leading the Republican Party’s 2024 primary race. Talk about a potential rematch for the books!

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Coppins admits he hasn’t actually talked to Romney about this shocking possibility, so take it with a grain of salt. Still, the idea that Romney, the so-called “conservative” Republican, would back Biden is a tricky thing to wrap your head around. According to Coppins, Romney believes the Republican Party has lost its way and feels “alienated” by his fellow Republicans. He just can’t seem to stomach the idea of supporting someone like Trump. Ouch! Shots fired!
Well, we all know Romney and Trump have had their fair share of spats in the past. In fact, just last month, Romney called Trump a “failure of character” for the Republican Party. That’s certainly not a ringing endorsement. And in typical Trump fashion, the former president retaliated by calling Romney a “RINO” on his Truth Social platform. For those unfamiliar with the term, “RINO” stands for “Republican in name only.” Yikes! The drama of it all!
Now, let’s talk about this memoir. We’ve got interviews, diary entries, the whole shebang! Coppins claims he spent a whopping two years interviewing Romney for the book. Talk about dedication! And apparently, there was even a rumor floating around that media mogul Oprah Winfrey suggested an Oprah-Romney ticket in 2020 to “save the country.” Oh, Oprah, always stirring the pot! But fear not, dear readers, a spokesperson for Winfrey denies this claim.
