This sounds like pragmatism, not the maximalist fantasies pushed by the Washington Warhawks, who have no interest in peace. Zelensky knows that the endless fight is a losing formula. Trump’s involvement could inject a dose of reality and urgency, forcing all sides to face facts and find a deal that protects freedom without bankrupting America or Europe.
Make no mistake: Democrats and the media will scream bloody murder at this. They’ll spin it as Trump being soft on Russia or selling out Ukraine. But the truth is that their protracted, reckless policy has only made the world more dangerous and instability more entrenched. They want war because it fits their globalist blueprint — more chaos, more dependence on unelected bureaucrats, more opportunities to strip away national sovereignty. A Trump-brokered peace means ending the war on terms that matter — terms that preserve Western values without endless sacrifice.
It’s time Americans demand better from their leaders. The prospect of peace through strong negotiation, not weak appeasement, is worth every ounce of skepticism directed at the mainstream’s failed approach.
