In another twist that seems straight out of a political soap opera, Anita Dunn, one of President Joe Biden’s senior advisors, has pointed the finger at none other than Nancy Pelosi for sabotaging Biden’s campaign. The irony is delicious, especially since Pelosi herself has denied any wrongdoing, claiming that she’s merely a well-meaning grandma rather than a puppet master behind the scenes.
Dunn’s claims are popping up all over the place, particularly in the New York Post. It seems that Dunn isn’t just frustrated with the Democratic Party’s shenanigans but also with the abrupt sidelining of Biden in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris. After all, in politics, when things start to go south, it’s usually the seasoned veterans like Pelosi who end up being the scapegoats, even if they claim innocence from their comfy chairs in Congress.

Pelosi, the former speaker, and perennial power player has issued vehement denials, insisting she wasn’t calling any shots to pressure Biden into capitulation. Her statement that she loves Biden “very much” is reminiscent of a parent denying a child’s misbehavior while they stand in a room full of broken glass. This convoluted saga raises the question of whether Pelosi’s supposed admiration for Biden was an affectionate way of pushing him off a political cliff.
Interestingly, after publicly showering Biden with praise, Pelosi’s tune changed, dropping more subtle hints of dissatisfaction with his so-called “political operation.” Just weeks ago, Biden was hailed as a “Mount Rushmore” type of president, but now it appears that Pelosi’s confidence in his leadership is about as solid as Joe’s grip on reality when he’s asked to read a teleprompter. The mixed messages leave many pondering: was her flattery just a cover-up for a deeper, more devious plot?
Dunn’s insistence that Pelosi was at the heart of the campaign devastation only adds fuel to the Republican fire. It seems that the inner circle of the Biden administration is as chaotic as ever, with Dunn stating that the party leadership openly fostered dissent, culminating in Biden’s abrupt withdrawal from the race. Even if Dunn didn’t want to label it as a “coup,” one can’t help but notice the smell of political blood in the water every time a Democrat decides to throw another under the bus. The real question remains: how much longer can Biden keep his head above water before his party drags him under?
