President Joe Biden’s latest poll numbers are in, and they are not good news for the 46th president. According to a new AP/NORC poll, Biden’s approval rating has plummeted to just 38% this month, almost hitting his lowest point of 36% in July 2022. This is a significant decrease from his 45% in February and 41% in January. Disapproval of Biden’s performance is rampant among Republicans, with 96% disapproving of his presidency, while a small majority of Democrats, accounting for just 76%, continue to support him.

Moreover, the majority of Americans feel that the country is on the wrong track with only 21% agreeing that it is heading in the right direction. This is a decline of seven percentage points from only last month, with both Republicans and Democrats earning fewer approvals than in February. These poll numbers show that the Biden administration’s policies have failed to resonate with the American people.

In particular, an overwhelming 68% of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy, while a mere 31% approve. The economy is always essential, and Biden has failed in this regard, which has hurt Americans most severely. Furthermore, the numbers are clearly partisan, with 63% of Democrats approving, yet only 3% of Republicans approving.
Biden’s handling of climate change also leaves a lot to be desired, with 57% disapproving while only 41% of Americans appreciate his handling of it. This disparity is more drastic among Republicans, with 81% disapproving, and Democrats are on the opposite end with an overwhelming 61% approving.
Finally, foreign policy is another area where Biden’s failures cannot be ignored, with a staggering 60% of Americans disapproving and only 39% approving. Although 74% of Democrats approve, Republicans overwhelmingly disapprove, with only 7% approving.
The President’s policies have been a disaster, and the numbers reflect the public’s disappointment. Biden needs to reevaluate his strategies, change course, and keep his campaign promises to connect with the American people.
