President Joe Biden once again took aim at former President Trump during a high-dollar fundraiser in New York City, where he referred to Trump as an “existential threat.” Biden made his remarks at the swanky Upper West Side home of Larry Linden, a former big shot at Goldman Sachs. The President wasted no time throwing shade at his predecessor, warning the business big wigs in attendance that Trump would stop at nothing to dismantle his administration’s work. He also took a swing at Trump’s environmental policies, claiming that the only real existential threat is the environment – because apparently, Trump’s environmental policies are scarier than an alien invasion or a giant asteroid hurtling towards Earth.
But that was just the warm-up act. Biden had a full lineup of fundraisers on his schedule to rake in the dough from elite eco-friendly business leaders who are all about those sweet, sweet government subsidies and incentives. However, the President’s plans were challenged by anti-Israel protesters who decided to rain on his parade by blocking Fifth Avenue, causing a traffic nightmare and drawing attention away from Biden’s big-money events.

The New York Post reported that these protesters were not messing around, blocking off streets and causing a ruckus to vent their fury over Biden’s support for Israel’s response to Hamas terrorists. They even had t-shirts that read “Jews say ceasefire now,” making it clear where they stood on the issue. The disruption caused quite the headache for law enforcement, who had to step in and put the kibosh on the protest, leading to multiple arrests for disorderly conduct. Leave it to a gaggle of wealthy liberal elites to make police officers’ jobs that much harder.
The President’s final fundraiser was held at the lavish home of Maureen White, wife of Steven Rattner, the money manager for none other than billionaire and former Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Of course, no hoity-toity event in the Big Apple would be complete without a celebrity appearance, and this shindig had none other than Robert De Niro in attendance. Amid all the unpleasantries and commotion, the show went on, but not without a dose of drama and discord.
But before the chaos outside, Biden managed to get in a jab at Trump during his second fundraiser at the posh Mandarin Oriental Hotel. He warned the wealthy, well-heeled attendees about the horrors of a potential Trump return to power, labeling it a “nightmare.” Apparently, in Biden’s world, a Trump presidency is akin to a horror movie come to life. He even went as far as to credit the crowd for Trump’s defeat in the last election, making it crystal clear who he thinks is responsible for keeping Trump at bay.
One protester summed up the sentiment of the day, declaring, “While he is in our city, he will feel nothing but disruptions.” Sounds like a real swell time for all involved, doesn’t it? Overall, President Biden’s fundraising journey through New York City went off the rails, with protests, arrests, and a whole lot of Trump-bashing. But hey, at least he got some fat checks out of it, which is what really matters, right?
