Biden Border Crisis Surges with 8.5 Million Migrant Encounters

Under the Biden-Harris administration, a staggering 8.5 million migrant encounters have occurred along the southern U.S. border over four fiscal years. This eyebrow-raising statistic has become a touchstone for those who have been sounding the alarm about the ongoing border crisis that has swept across America, leaving towns and cities grappling with the consequences of failed policies.

The latest report from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reveals that September 2024 alone saw 101,790 encounters, bringing the total for fiscal year 2024 to approximately 2.1 million. This surge, marked as the second-worst year for inadmissible alien encounters in history, clearly points to an administration that either doesn’t get it or doesn’t want to get it. After all, only last fiscal year set an all-time record, courtesy of the same leadership currently insisting everything is under control.

In fiscal year 2024, over 1.5 million encounters resulted from unlawful border crossings, yet these figures strangely pale in comparison to those from 2022 and 2023. One can’t help but wonder if the Biden administration is throwing a party for a slight decline in how many people illegally cross the border, all while ignoring that there’s still rampant chaos. To put it bluntly, the border remains swamped, and the White House is patting itself on the back for a one-step back move in a two-step disaster.

Amid the chaos, another factor has been quietly ignored—the approximately 30,000 migrants flying into the U.S. every month through a controversial parole program, also known as CHNV. Instead of reigning in the madness, this administration seems to have found a creative way of expanding the flow, which some would graciously call “border management.” The population shift seems to be less about regulations and more about a big, warm welcome and an open-door policy. It raises the question of what happens when more folks are coming in than are leaving.

Despite abysmal numbers, President Biden has rolled out seasons of executive orders, hoping to gain a few political brownie points before the voters head to the polls. Unfortunately for him, the National Border Patrol Council decided to throw their weight behind former President Trump just recently, indicating that even they are less than thrilled with the current state of the union. With conversations mounting about the safety and security of communities nationwide, the administration’s series of ineffective border solutions appears to be nothing more than a political theater, leaving most Americans wondering who’s really protecting them from a full-fledged border debacle.

In true form, the White House has tried to defend the latest statistics, passing the blame to Congressional Republicans for their supposed refusal to play ball on border security measures. There’s hardly a better distraction than suggesting the other side is more interested in political games than actually fixing a crisis that is actively playing out day after day.

As the stories and numbers continue to pour in, one thing remains clear: The Biden administration has a border problem. The road ahead isn’t paved with compromises but is lined with continued encounters, soaring numbers, and widespread discontent among voters eager for meaningful action. The paradox of keeping the border secure while claiming success illustrates just how far removed the narrative is from reality.
