President Biden has taken a break from his ice cream scooping duties to demand Congress return from their fancy two-week recess and pass a ginormous foreign aid package. He wants a whopping $95.8 billion to be splurged on countries like Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. Now, I don’t know about you, but shouldn’t we be taking care of our own backyard first before doling out billions to other nations?

House Republicans, the true heroes of this story, have been fighting tooth and nail for a secure southern border. They’re tired of the influx of illegal aliens and they want a plan in place before just throwing money around like confetti at a parade. But of course, the Senate Republicans were playing a dangerous game, trying to push a deal that would practically open the floodgates for more and more illegal immigrants. Thankfully, House Speaker Mike Johnson shut that down real quick. We need to build a wall, folks, not hand out green cards like they’re going out of style.
Instead of working together like a well-oiled machine, President Biden is playing hard to get with Speaker Johnson. Come on, Biden, put on your big boy pants and have a sit-down with the House leaders. But no, he’s too busy playing the blame game, pointing fingers at everyone else except himself. Classic move, am I right?
The White House is acting all high and mighty, acting like they’ve got it all figured out. But news flash, they’re just twiddling their thumbs waiting for Congress to hand them what they want on a silver platter. Why negotiate when you can just stomp your feet and demand your way? That seems to be the motto of the day at the White House.
