Biden Falters in Debate Trump Shines Harris Set for Bigger Campaign Role

Many Republicans were left shaking their heads at President Joe Biden’s lackluster showing in a recent debate against former President Donald Trump.

Despite denials from the White House about any plans for Biden to step aside in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris, signs point to Harris taking on a more prominent role in the campaign.

Former Louisiana Democratic Rep. Cedric Richmond, the co-chairman of the Biden-Harris campaign, praised Harris as “a valued partner” and “incredibly intelligent” during an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart.”

Richmond highlighted Harris’s unwavering support for Biden, both publicly and privately, and touted her increasing involvement in the campaign.

In a bold statement, Biden himself declared in an interview with ABC News that only “the Lord Almighty” could persuade him to drop out of the race, emphasizing his determination to continue the fight.

Fox News reported that during a call to MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Biden reiterated his commitment to the race, stating firmly that he is staying put and truly believes he is the best candidate to defeat Donald Trump in 2024.

With Biden’s confidence and Harris’s expanding role, the Democratic campaign seems set on its course, despite doubts and criticisms from some quarters.
