Biden Flexes War Powers: Is America Bracing for a Conflict?

President Joe Biden has officially notified Congress that he has authorized military force against terror groups funded and trained by Iran. In a letter to Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson and Democratic Senate President Pro Tempore Patty Murray, Biden named Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as the mastermind behind attacks on US military forces in Iraq and Syria. He cited US strikes against facilities used by the IRGC and IRGC-affiliated groups for command and control, munitions storage, and other purposes, emphasizing that these strikes were conducted to protect American personnel and deter further attacks.

However, considering Biden’s track record of weakness and appeasement, it’s hard to trust that he knows what he’s doing. Not only did he surrender the country’s southern border to illegal aliens, but he also executed a humiliating retreat from Afghanistan and effectively gave approval for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Now, he expects Americans to believe that he’s tough on the Middle East, when just a few months ago, he couldn’t even acknowledge Iran’s role in the Hamas massacre in Israel. Democrats can no longer ignore the reality that Biden is not fit to be a wartime president, and the country is at a high risk of getting involved in a major conflict in the Middle East.
