Over the weekend, President Joe Biden graced California with his presence for a fundraising event in Los Angeles. However, the real headliner was the ever-entertaining spectacle of former President Barack Obama guiding Biden off the stage, a scene that speaks volumes about the current administration. And just when you thought things couldn’t get more bizarre, Monday brought news of an off-duty Secret Service agent being robbed at gunpoint during this trip.
Yes, you read that correctly. In Tustin, California, around 9:36 p.m., an off-duty Secret Service agent found himself confronted in a residential area. According to a press release, the agent, in town for a “support role,” had his bag stolen and was forced to fire his weapon. Despite assurances that there’s no known threat to the public, the fact remains that the suspect or suspects remain at large, and it’s unclear whether they were injured during the incident. So, as Californians were pondering the usual crime wave, they now have this little gem to add to their increasingly wild narrative.

Let’s get real: crime in California is as predictable as a Hollywood remake. Whether it’s retail theft or culprits making off with fire hydrants (yes, even those aren’t safe), it’s a free-for-all on the left coast. Oakland, for example, has become a veritable ghost town, thanks to its rising crime rates. If this is the progressive utopia that Democrats are selling, buyers beware.
This fiasco with the Secret Service agent isn’t an isolated incident. Judicial Watch recently turned up more dirt on how the Biden administration is treating the Service. Turns out, the President’s dog, Commander, has been busy sinking his teeth into Secret Service agents, all under Biden’s watchful eye. One can only assume the dog is following in his owner’s footsteps, causing chaos wherever he goes.
So, while Biden was hobnobbing with California’s elite, his entourage was dealing with the very real threats of a lawless environment. It’s just another day in the Biden era, where even the Secret Service isn’t safe from the decline. One has to wonder, if the security detail meant to protect the leader of the free world isn’t immune to this madness, what hope is there for the average American?
