When asked what might get him to re-evaluate his insistence on being on the ballot, Biden mentioned an emerging medical condition as the potential deal-breaker. Biden elaborated that if doctors informed him of any serious health issues, it could influence his decision.
This sudden crack in Biden’s previously unyielding stance comes at a time when a chorus of Democratic voices is growing louder, urging him to bow out. Following his abysmal debate performance last month, even his own party’s lawmakers, intellectuals, and fundraisers are starting to mutter that it might be time for the 81-year-old to take a step back.
